Promes on appeal: Footballer won't let himself be sidelined!

Prof footballer Quincy Promes received a major slap from the legal system today. The Amsterdam court sentenced the Spartak Moscow player to one and a half years in prison for severely beating his own cousin. Whew, that's quite a red card! But let's try to highlight the bright side of the story.

Promes, known for his quick footwork on the field, unfortunately messed up outside the stadium. Although it is a sad and serious incident, we can still try to find a happy note. Perhaps Quincy simply took out his frustrations on his cousin, as if he were trying to dodge a defense during an exciting game. You can't deny his determination and dedication!

The court also ruled that Promes must pay damages of no less than 7,000 euros to the victim. That's a hefty sum of money, even for a professional football player. But let's face it, if you're as good as Promes, you can probably easily score that sum together. Maybe he could organize a charity match to raise money for charity as well as pay the compensation. Two birds with one stone!

Now, let's not forget that this story is not over yet. Promes has announced that he will appeal the verdict. He seems determined to clear his name and get back on the field where he belongs. If there is one thing we know about soccer players, it is their determination and perseverance. Quincy doesn't let himself get out of the field easily!

The news release also raises the question of whether Promes should now play soccer in countries that do not have an extradition treaty with the Netherlands. Oh well, let's look on the bright side! It opens new doors for Promes to show his talents to the world. Who knows, we might soon see him shining on exotic soccer fields, where fans from all over the world can enjoy his spectacular play. Maybe we will soon see him shine in the same league where Christiano Ronaldo plays like a true globetrotter!
