Yesterday, Thierry Baudet (FVD) gave an impressive and insanely good speech in the Lower House, denouncing the military-industrial complex and revealing how hundreds of millions of euros of aid to Ukraine end up in the wrong hands. Unfortunately, his speech was heard by only one party, the PVV. The rest of the House did not even bother to listen to Baudet's speech. This even though it was one of the most important speeches ever made in the Dutch parliament.
Baudet spoke about the recent financial aid to Ukraine and raised critical questions about what exactly is happening with that money. He brought to light that some of this aid ends up in the pockets of companies like BlackRock, indicating total corruption and robbing citizens. It is shocking to see that this form of corruption has been going on for decades and that the West continues to push for escalation, without considering the consequences for the population.
Baudet's speech revealed the dark side of the military-industrial complex and highlighted how billions are made from needless bloodshed. He sparked an important and necessary debate about the role of the Netherlands and the West in international politics. It is crucial to expose such issues and take responsibility for the consequences of our actions.
It is very disappointing that the other parties in the House showed no interest in Baudet's speech. This speech deserved more listeners because it seemed like a lecture in which the truth was revealed. Ignoring important speeches and the lack of debate on such crucial topics undermines democracy and the representativeness of our parliament.

Thierry Baudet's speech sent an important signal and showed that he is willing to bring out the truth, even if it means rowing against the current. It is a relief to see that there are politicians who are committed to exposing corruption and abuse of power. Baudet now knows full well that he must look over his shoulder. Exposing the truth is not something high-ranking people are happy about.
