In a recent broadcast of Op1, CDA (Christian Democrat) MP Bart van den Brink was invited to talk about the European asylum deal that was recently struck. With his party's familiar rhetoric, van den Brink proclaimed that "we have to get the external borders closed." It seems like a repetition of moves, with yet another CDA MP taking the stage with tough talk. It's starting to get tiresome, a play that keeps repeating itself.
It is understandable for the CDA to raise the issue of asylum, as it is an important issue that deserves serious attention. However, repeating the same message without concrete solutions or realistic strategies is not productive. It seems more like a form of theater, where politicians are eager to show that they are taking action, but where the actual impact remains questionable. This is very bad for trust in politics.
It is tiresome to hear the same words over and over again with no real progress being made. The CDA, like other political parties, should focus on decisive action and realistic solutions instead of empty promises and rhetoric. The public yearns for concrete actions and effective policies that can actually solve the asylum crisis.

Moreover, to truly address the asylum crisis, we must also take a critical look at the current power relations in Europe. The fact is that decision-making in Europe is still dominated by globalists who often do not pay sufficient attention to the real challenges and concerns of individual countries. Only when these power dynamics change and a more balanced and realistic perspective emerges can we hope for an effective solution to the asylum crisis.
