The big winner of the last election, Geert Wilders, lashed out adamantly at all those ministers who suddenly let it be known that they are resigning.... because they got a nice job abroad. It started with Uslu, then Kaag left, and now Kuipers is doing the same. Wilders finds that despicable. "Too embarrassing for words," he calls the Hague exodus.
It was announced yesterday that Ernst Kuipers per immediate has resigned as Minister of Health. Yes, you read that correctly. per immediately. Indeed, on January 10 (i.e., yesterday) he wrote on X: "Today I have requested the King to grant me resignation as Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport as of January 10."
Like Sigrid Kaag, Voldemort has found a "position abroad" that he finds more beautiful and important than the lowly ministry in the Netherlands. Attached to that new position is "a certain effective term," according to Mr. Coward. Therefore, he must now leave immediately with a "burdened mind." Bye, good luck with it, figure it out!
It is, of course, hideously selfish. In no other country would the self-proclaimed elites do this. Yes, there too they are selfish to the bone, but at least abroad they understand that they have to keep up a little appearance. In the Netherlands, even that is no longer the case. Ministers resign literally overnight. Not because they have been dismissed, but because they can get another - nicer - job.
Wilders: 'Embarrassing'
This is why Geert Wilders is particularly irritated by Kuipers' announcement.
"More and more ministers are leaving the sinking ship," the PVV leader writes on X. "It is too embarrassing for words and it shows self-centeredness that they put their own interest and new job above the national interest."
He then rightly notes that D66 in particular "takes the narcissistic crown." Because yes, in most cases these are indeed ministers from that party who have decided that, if the electorate punished them harshly on Nov. 22, then our country no longer "deserves them," and so they are fine to throw the whole thing down and run away to a place where they do feel valued.
The curious thing is that apparently you can cancel the ministry literally per day s notice. If you are a painter you have a month's notice (at least). Do you work permanently for a newspaper or website? Again: notice period month after end of month announcing departure. Do you work at the bakery? Same. At the Hema? ... By now it's clear to you what I mean.
(Article continues below this call) Unlike all those randy D66'ers, we at DDS do love our country and our people. That's why we do everything we can to honestly inform our readers every day about what's happening and why. This only means that we need your help. After all, DDS is being punished KEYHARD by Big Tech for our pro-Dutch stance. So support us! Donate to DDS via BackMe and help us, strengthen our proud pro-Dutch sound!
But are you a minister? Oh well, then you just cancel by the day, right? "Hello, I won't hear tomorrow, because the day after tomorrow I can start somewhere where I can earn more money and have more prestige. Thanks for the past years, toodles!"
How on earth could this happen? Mind you, basically we are all glad to be rid of Voldemort. The man is a miscreant wannabe dictator third class. But it is totally irresponsible for a minister to pack up his bags and say overnight that you just aren't coming. What madness, what arrogance, what narcissism.
