Dear Opposition Members,
Shame, does that tell you anything?
Responsibility, does that tell you anything?
The administered oath of office, does that tell you anything?
The controlling power, does that tell you anything?
Our parliamentary history, does it tell you anything?
Once again this week, the Netherlands has been allowed to watch a hand-wringing play by an "outraged" opposition that has lost confidence in Rutte for the umpteenth time, and coalition slaves who agree with the criticism, but consider their coalition interests more sacred than the lives and well-being of Groningers, and the sense of justice of the Dutchman.
What are you sitting there for, dear opposition members, when your presence is so obviously for bacon and beans that the painfulness of it now turns to hilarity.
The no-confidence motion - just about the toughest political measure next to the parliamentary inquiry - has been transformed by your cowardice, your apathy and your looking away behavior to the level of police stop talk, a meaningless slap on the wrist and then - as Barrie Stevens so eloquently put it - above all, move on.
You - self-reflexive as you are - will of course attribute the systematic failure of the no-confidence motion to the process of democracy, where the vote of the majority - the coalition seats - is decisive, but your responsibility really does not end there.
Just as box K once ran away - hypocritically - from a speech by Thierry Baudet, so too can the entire opposition run away from the second chamber, with the message that they will not return until something actually changes for once.
All of you have the eyes of the whole country on you, but apparently you do not feel the obligation to do the right thing, to do your duty as representatives of the people, and to finally send a signal: this far and absolutely no further.
The play that is performed with every vote of no confidence by - mainly - the Klavers and Kuikens of this world is a disgrace to our democratic constitutional state, and a slap in the face of every Dutchman, who does daily suffer under the laws and regulations of The Hague politics.
After Groningen, among other things, after his dividend tax lies, after his umpteenth proof of amnesia, after his deleted text messages, after his position elsewhere, after his disregard of the parliamentary inquiry and after the allowance affair, when will it once be enough to say for us the limit has been reached, and we will not cooperate anymore until Rutte has stepped down?
The answer to that......... never.

You don't care how many lies, how much amnesia, how many cesspools, how many scandals and how many - literally - crimes Rutte still credits to his credit, because you are all part of the same nauseating anti-democratic, anti-rights and incestuous circus, which feeds on the misery of the Dutch citizen.
