It's too crazy for words, but Trouw has now published an article telling native Dutch people that they just have to adapt to the new reality of being a minority in their own city and neighborhood. And not only that, no, they have to change their behavior. They even have to integrate. What?
"People without an immigrant background are the new minority in cities, researchers conclude," notes Allegiance. That's right, and for normal people, that's very worrisome. Not because newcomers are a different color, but because people from other cultures bring that culture with them - a situation that a) causes uprooting in the community, b) causes a decline in unanimity and c) many of those cultures are by no means an improvement over ``the Dutch culture and are even in many ways directly opposed to it.
But Allegiance doesn't think any of that is a problem. Because the next question that Trouw asks is not, "how can something be done about that?" but, "why don't they integrate with their own multicultural neighbors?"
No, that's not a joke:
PVV leader Geert Wilders has responded to the news about the minority status of natives in (many) cities. He did not respond to the tweet of Trouw, but so did the content of the article itself.
"I've been saying it for years," Wilders writes on X / Twitter. "Dutch people as a minority in their own street, neighborhood and city. Only the PVV can and will reverse that process and make the Netherlands belong to the Dutch again."
"Dutch people again at 1," he states in response. And then he concludes with a statement that of course is deliberately intended to cause fuss: "In other words: own people first!"
(Article continues below this call) The Daily Standard stands firm for the Netherlands and for our culture. We will never tell our readers that they but should integrate in their own country. This is the sick reality in the Netherlands. Not only are Dutch people becoming a minority in (big) cities. No, that is not enough. Population happens, it is a fact. But that is not enough.
Oh no. Then they also want we to give up our way of life. We have to live differently ourselves. We must not only accept that we no longer see our culture around us, no, we must actively break with it ourselves. Because otherwise we are stubborn and old-fashioned.
